Mary Overstreet

Overstreet is known for her fabric work, banners and

installations. She has created large-scale pieces that are

sewn, printed and painted. However, recently, nature and the relationships of color and texture have become the current

focus of her work. One sees in her handling of oil paint and

subject matter, Overstreet’s deep connection to life. She is the artist-in-residence at Christ Lutheran Church of Alamo Heights in San Antonio, where she shows monthly.

Overstreet holds a BFA from the University of Texas at Arlington and maintains studios in San Antonio and Seguin, Texas. Overstreet has most recently shown at The Southwest

School of Art, High Wire Arts Gallery and The Art Institute of

San Antonio.
