Leslie Williams, Ph.D., has been an English professor for 30 years. She took her first painting class three years ago with Robert Reed at the Yale School of Art, and fell in love with painting. Semi-retired as a professor and writer, she now spends most of her time in her studio, working in acrylics and encaustics.
Interested in abstract and non-representational art, Williams’ work has been exhibited in the Master’s Show at the Interna-tional Encaustic Artist’s Conference in Santa Fe in 2013. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Sid Peterson Regional Medical Center, and she has shown in several GAGA and other group shows.
She and her husband, Stockton Williams, live in Kerrville, Texas, where her children and grandchildren also reside. Williams is represented by River’s Edge Gallery in Kerrville.
