Carole Greer, is a retired drawing professor emeritus from
Texas State University, San Marcos. Her creative career spans decades: starting from the early 1960s, when she illustrated greeting cards for Hallmark in Kansas City and designed women’s clothing in Dallas, to her most recent drawing exhibitions in Mason and San Antonio, Texas.
Greer is a much-awarded artist, holding nineteen national competitions awards. She has shown across the USA and internationally, including Palm Springs Desert Museum, Palm Springs, California, Maryland Federation of Art, Annapolis, and in Texas and the Southwest. She received a Purchase AwardNational Drawing 1996, Trenton State College, New Jersey.When asked about her work, Greer says, “The symbols in this work are personal. The materials are part of the symbols. Often, I am not aware of the meaning, yet during the creative process,the meaning evolves.”
