My name is Sandra Cavazos Risner. I'm a South Texas native. I studied art at Texas Woman's University, majoring in fashion illustration. Working on illustrations I focused on drawing with ink, pencils, and watercolors. Now I'm concentrating on using acrylics to paint portraits, Texas landscapes and architectural buildings. I love to travel and photograph subjects for future paintings. I have been influenced by my father, a South Texas artist, and by the works of Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keefe.
