Josefina

Longoria

I started painting when I was a teenager. The first studio I studied in, we did carbon drawings.

The second studio I studied in, we did two oils: still life and landscape.

In high school I did AP Art and got college credit for it.

Now, I have taken landscape and abstract classes with Sylvia Benitez.

My work is abstract landscapes. My main focus is sunrises, sunsets, and the ocean.

Because I grew up in Mexico I love bright intense colors.

I consider myself an artist: first a writer, then a painter, then a photographer and dancer.
