Masuda

I am a printmaker, painter, and digital artist interested in political/socio-economic and psychological topics. I have always felt strongly about ethical treatment of animals and humans. I am a lover of the environment. Subject matter ranges from Canada Geese, Grackles to Tokyo Rose, all who have suffered injustices or abuse. I am interested in spiritual battles of addiction and advertising campaigns that manipulate audiences through glamorization of substance abuse.

I received my BFA Studio Arts/BA Art History from the University of Hawaii and my MFA in Printmaking at SAIC in Chicago. I am now in Austin, Texas for family and am teaching at the Art Institute of Austin. I live in Circle C Ranch - a pivotal environmental spot for stewardship of the environment and development over the aquifer.
